As is often the case, this is where things went off course:
Getting back to the original post, it is wrong, plain and simple.
Ethics has nothing to do with the type of inspection your are doing. Ethics are how you run your life. If you are unethical in your work life, odds are pretty good you are unethical in every other aspect of your life as well.
I have never paid any attention to the CoE of this organization or ASHI, because I live by a code of my own.
Do unto others…
Has anyone ever been expelled from iNachi for either paying to be on a list or doing work for a fee on an inspected home within 12 months of the inspection?
My guess would be NO. I had a long time A$HI member tell me once, ethics written down is to make an organization look legitimate, not actually be followed. Sad but true.
Sounds to me like a “You pay, you stay” organization with all the loopholes in the ethics. But this is just a local thing here in Florida, right?:—) I don’t do home inspections at all, just home inspection services. So by Bushart’s ethical theory, I can pay brokers, do repairs and run the Nachi name into the ground for others to suffer? I guess we need the government to step in and make more laws as the association has no interest to protect the public (at least here in Florida).
Edit: And for someone to be in such a prominent position to speak for an association such as Nachi to respond with just “Lol”, loses all credibility in my eyes. Why someone like Bushart was put into that position with his attitude is scary for an entire organization.
Just got a call from EWM wanting me to be a sponsor at their 8 day training class. As part of the sponsorship I will be allowed to come in and speak. $500.00.
I guess this is their way of getting around the preferred list. Now it is called a sponsorship>
No,
It is a sponsorship.
You are actually paying for the Lunch of the Class of 30 - 60 + Agents for their CEU’s.
In exchange for that sponsorship, you are afforded time to give a limited presentation (commercial) to the class.
