And you just need to assume other similar lithium backup batteries have the same issue, just have not gone through the process.
I see cheap hoverboards and e-scooters in my apartment owner client buildings. It’s just a matter of time before one of them catches fire… and can’t be put out. These are harder to put out than an EV fire, as with a vehicle fire at least you can access the damn thing. Even solar batteries on the outside of a building are probably better than a hoverboard stored under a bed… or a Moen Flo in the basement.
