Ok Marcel…What can I offer you as a prize. Maybe my kids for the week-end?
Approximately ten feet. Maybe that’s next if they don’t get this wall upgraded real soon.
Ok…I’ve got updated images of this failed retaining wall. Some of the stone is laying in the street.
When this wall gets upgraded, I’ll post the images.
Dave, since the poles are on the city property, you would think the city would have made the owner of the property clean up his mess seeing it is possing a hazard to the public way.
I like the yellow caution tape that was not there when the real hazard was present.
Would homeowners insurance cover this or would they make the owner disclose the non-sudden failure?
David, how’s that leaning chimney doing that you were watching 3-4 years ago?
Marcel,
Municipal probably gave the homeowners so many days to get this retaining failed wall corrected. It might be due to an insurance delay.
This wall fell about 4 weeks ago, so I’ll keep you posted as to how long it stays strewn-out on public way.
We will wait and see. I’ll keep you posted, Bruce.
Bruce,
That leaning chimney did finally come to and end. See the update at…
Well, it’s been almost two months now and this public walkway is still blocked by the pile of stone from this failed retaining wall. Someone did sweep the minor debris out of the street. Big deal…
This retaining wall failure is putting pedestrians into a dangerous path of oncoming traffic. Cars are speeding down this main street at 50 mph at times.
I have no idea what they are waiting for…an accident?
