I’ve been struggling with this for a year, reached out to RoadScan for the Users manual, etc. I now hang my head in shame and ask for assistance to learn how to use my equipment…
Does ANYONE know how to update the RoadScan CH10 Body Camera Date and Time? Mine did not come with a owners manual, I had to reach out and find out WHAT the password even was from RoadScan before I could move video off of it (and interestingly enough, if I plug it into my computer BEFORE I turn it on and enter my password to move my inspection recordings onto my external backup it will NEVER acknowledge the password). Now, my workaround has been at the beginning of every recording I just show my phone for the current date and time (it [the bodycam***] shows like 18 months and 7 hours early), but sometimes the record button gets knocked during inspections and I have to restart the recording (I’ve been counting on being able to compare the time it says to the original to work out only a couple of seconds or a minute have passed), but I have a nagging feeling that I need to get it fixed NOW. Dont know why, but I’ve learned to listen to my feelings.
For reference, when I go into the menu, the four square button advanced me, but when I go to time zone, auto update time, date format, or WIFI and hit any button I get no change. Im 99% sure that it has NO wifi as I got it from Inspectoroutlet.com and got the lowest priced model. I am NOT tech savvy at all, and I just need to to record, and transfer recordings to my backup storage. I didnt, and dont, need any fancy bells and whistles.
On a side note, @ Nick Gromicko, if this is a defective unit can I exchange it?
