so far so good inside. This was cute little house with bad hair and really bad feet. Looks like it had recently been "tarted" up for sale. I don't think that whoever did the roll asphalt roof had heard of lap cement, hence the excessive nailing and surface caulk which, btw, was already showing signs of cracking. The edge flashing was even worse...laid over the top of the asphalt, hard against the trim...a perfect moisture trap for the sheathing. The bad feet were at least 12 screw-jacks precariously perched on a variety of odds and ends holding up the post and pier home. Our next quake, even a small one, is going to be very exciting for this home if nothing is done. I got to use the words "potential catastrophic failure" for the first time.
