S Trap or just a sloppy P Trap

Good Evening Gentlemen
Quick question and your thoughts. Is this considered an S Trap or is it just a DIY (with unapproved flex pipe) P Trap. The Discharge pipe is still above the Weir, but its shape has me wondering. Thanks for your input as always
Matt

It is wrong and needs correction by a qualified plumber.

A slightly longer tail pipe and some correct fitting and it could be remedied.

Thank you Larry, you are always spot on, can you to elaborate a little bit of your knowledge on whys and hows?
Thank You Sir
M

All I see is FOAMMMMMMMMM

lol…for sure, the wall was dry even after 30 minutes of flow though,

here is the rest of the pic

If the correct fitting was used out of the wall with a slightly longer tailpipe and correct fittings, It could work as Charles points out in this link: https://www.buellinspections.com/p-traps-installing-them-properly/

great link, thanks Larry

You’re welcome, Matt…

Glad it helped, you.

Any time I see flex for a drain I write it up as an “unprofessional” installation.

Looks more like a lazy W to me.
