Should a copper line from a propane tank be grounded/bonded?

Because if you are not a HI you can’t inspect ANY component is a home unless your profession allows you to do so. No licensed residential electricians - no profession to act under. You are just a Joe blow who works on electrical.

Exactly - you tested to prove your knowledge.

Remind me never to move to Ohio.

These rules make no sense. Someone can install something but isn’t qualified to know if it correct, but someone that could know almost nothing of a specific trade is. And that i need to report on conditions of a system but can’t open to look inside. Absolute genius.

Try living here.

That’s because ANYONE can install it.

You can look inside. You just have to say it a certain way. Remember lawyers wrote these laws not me. In 2007 I informed a judge that he could not make these kids fix anything electrical in their home. All the work that they did was NOT code compliant and I said so. What I also said that since they had no certified building department, he had no jurisdiction over the electrical work and couldn’t condemn their home. It’s a long story but I read and know the law as it affects me.

I think that is all BS. Missing handrail and handrail not present are the same thing. It is not there and I think it should be. It is missing, not present, absent, vacated, void, null, etc. etc.

Does any other source besides code address undersized conductors? Manufacturer? Aunt Betty? NACHI training? If so, am I not citing those sources?

Then move here and change the law or you could just stay there enjoy life and not worry about Ohio.

The law is fine. It is your interpretation that is more than suspect. That blog you posted said clearly, do not cite code and you will be fine.

Oh look, Schneider Electric says what wire size I can use with their breaker. Did I just cite them or code when I called out the undersized conductor?

I thought behind the cover is not readily accessible.

I am still shaking my head that anyone can install electrical work. I cannot believe that the larger cities and areas are not regulated.

You need to read it again.

The magic word is refer.

Code. Now maybe you are allowed to there but not here.

That is correct. It’s not part of a home inspection. You may remove it if you chose to go above a home inspection.

Commercial work requires a state license. Since Sept 2001. Still no resy licensed. That said here is where it gets tricky. If the AHJ adopts and gets certified to enforce the RCO they can register specialty contractors but can’t required additional testing. They may accept the state commercial license for resy work or let anyone do resy work. All the work has to be inspected by an ESI. If no there is AHJ then anyone can do the work and no one has to inspect the electrical work but if they do they must be an ESI. If the utility requires an inspection then again, an ESI.

Anyone can build a home but that doesn’t make them an architect or PE.

You just don’t care about the law or some else is using your name. You should check into this.

Allow me to make an adjustment. Let’s see if it changes anything.

reference - the action of mentioning or alluding to something.

It is active and misleading to the public. So, it was false the entire time that you did hold a license and you didn’t think to take it down or edit it. I bet this really helps InterNACHI members in your area. If the believe what you post then they probably believe ASHI is the best around.

You are very special sir…in a short bus kind of way   :joy:

I’d say that about you. On your website you state that you are an InterNACHI member. Your false statements reflect poorly on all InterNACHI members and as one I have the duty to call you out.

It is people like you would just don’t care how your actions affect everyone else.

One of my first jobs was working with them. Please don’t make fun of them.

I don’t say a lot on here but follow along all the time. I can say that I’m the better for Jim’s positive input into the forum. He’s not on here to impress or to put anyone in their place. Can’t say I understand why you’d come back after being kicked off. It’s like you think you’re going to help someone who doesn’t want to listen to you. And since I’ve been consistently on here for awhile now, I’m certain that most on here agree. Keep arguing and proving yourself, but it’s just entertainment without convincing information.

I’m not trying to convince anyone. I just most of my comments out there for Ohio inspectors to protect them from the lies being told to them. Thanks for chiming in. That is not meant to be smart.

Fun thread. Robert @rmeier2 answered my question many post ago. But it’s fun to read what nonsense is posted that has nothing to do with my question.
