I am trying to get a visual understanding of single phase two/three wire 120/240 volt coming into the weather head.

Without any other info. If your looking from the outside and see
Two service wires entering a weather head of a resident.

Is there anyway to tell is this single phase 120/240volt?
If anyone has pictures please share.
Thx Kevin from Houston,TX

Two wires entering into a service mast indicates 120 volt service. One “hot” - 120V - conductor and the neutral.

Three wires entering the service mast indicates 240 volt service. Two "hot" - 120V each - conductors and the neutral.

Although they are not the best examples, these pictures show 240V systems.
