You guys were lucky, I had to climb the roof and turn it by hand. LOL

Yeah, we had BB guns.
We went up a couple of block to the local store to buy more BBs and on our way back the older “hoods” grabbed our guns but couldn’t get them to work (we had monkeyed with the safeties so one had to know just how to do it to make them shoot.) but the “hoods” couldn’t work them still and gave the “pieces of crap” back to us.
Well, wee got about 20" away and went off on them with several well placed shots and they screamed like little girls and then chased us!
I could hardly run and shoot I was laughing so hard.

I had modified my BB gun with a lever action to shoot automatically like the Rifleman. LOL

Here is one that goes along with the old snow plow era.
Snow fence. We had 10 miles of it in the 60s’ and had to be lifted after every storm of 10" or more or high winds. Poles were set approx. 10’ apart 8’ longand about 3" in diameter.
Poles were all set by hand using a pole hole maker that I don’t even know what we called it.
