So with all this food inflation, should we invest in gardening supply companies?

IMHO: Many Americans are going to be planting victory gardens in Spring 2023.

I’ve had a small garden all my life.

This isn’t going to happen because Americans discover gardening as a hobby. It’s going to happen because food inflation is going to be up 50% over three years. How can the average family afford it? We’re all going to start gardening because of hunger.
