NACHI member is looking for ideas for a camera that can go atop the Spectoscope pole he bought from NACHI. Prices, types, value, etc.

He has to wait for the new bb to get up. Could anyone answer me and I'll pass it on to him?

We will be happily awaiting any help, Thank you

Bill has been working on that for a few years now. The last I heard he had a great setup. He had a screen where he could see what he is taking a photo of.

Me, I just duct tape a miget friend of mine to the pole (or maybe it was a Lithuanian).

I keep stringing him along, telling him that this is part of the apprenticeship.

Don't tell him. Shhhh.

I use Binoculars that have a camcorder and camera built in. I love it.

I would think that a holder / mount for a PDA or something along these lines that people use to mount a hand held device in the auto or truck could be modified to become a camera mount. Ebay has a gazillion such devices for sale at very reasonable prices. If it were me I would start looking there. They have search engines that the buyer can use to hunt down just about anything they want or need. I do it all the time and have found some incredible deals and items. Most of it is new right out of the box items not someone’s garage junk.
