State approved Wind Mitigation Inspection class

How much longer for Inachi’s LBP approval?

Regarding the Lead course: We got a verbal approval, just waiting for the formal letter.

www.nachi.org/school.htm will be offering the certification with the big advantage being that the classroom portion of the course will only be 2 hours long and the rest can be completed online.

I took the nachi course; do I need this course to perform wind mits? I’m a licensed GC as well as HI.

Hi William,

The NACHI course will qualify you for wind mitigation inspections. Many just add their certificate to the end of the 1802 that they produce for the client.

Good Luck

If you are a GC than that is all you need, but it would be a good idea to get as much education on the subject as possible to complete the form correctly

I took the Wind Mit course with Dr. Uz and have to say he is an excellent speaker and made this material fascinating. I remember his words vividly when I’m in the attic with my sharpie and tape measure. How many instructor’s do you say that about? I have been performing wind mits since I got my HI license, with none being rejected or called back by Citizens or any other Insurer.

I am bummed that I paid full price for the course, now that it’s half off for NACHI, but I thought it was so good that I would take the course again when its time to renew in two years. even with the free one from NACHI available!
