Stranded wires lower gauges

The other difference is that plumbing pipe comes in 21’ sections.

lol…tell that to the fella’s that buy at home depot…lol…last i looked they sold 6’ and 8’ sections of plumbing pipe also…

I can remember back in the fifties when we did use black painted pipe .
It was horrible .
Hand threading and the dies would tear chunks out of the threads.
Bending it some times the pipe would break like a stick of wood and down on your Pratt you would go .
It was bad iron made very poor and it had a seam to you had to be carefull or it could open up when bending or threading.

lol…sometimes I forget I am only 37…grew up using GOOD materials…

Peopled worked in the 50’s? I thought everyone was either racing cars or making moves. Weird.

lol…I was not even a SPARKLE in my pop’s eye back in the 50’s…

Hell I can’t remember when the temps were in the 50’s!

Damn Liberals reversing global warming through legislation!

I was already doing my own wiring in the 50s. I put in the receptacles for our brand new window shakers in 1958. Now I know how many mistakes I made. The house never burned down tho. It was still there a few years ago when I was up in Md.

Tom, not only did people work in the 50s they had time to build a bomb shelter on the weekend. There wasn’t as much to watch on TV I guess … and no PCs to waste time on.

I think I read about that! Was America discovered yet?

The indians were here.
