Hey all! Can anyone confirm that this port on a sump pump plug is used for testing? Today I came across this type of plug for a sump pump that I thought was to kick on the pump by attaching a small tube and creating positive or negative pressure. Nothing happened and the sump pump was under a bolted down lid, so I just want to be sure when making my write-up (if there is one to be made.)
That’s a diaphragm switch, the vent tube is part of the switch’s functionality, it isn’t a test port.
