The InterNACHI Newsletter Project

Will those articles be sent out using the INACHI E-Newsletter system?

Will, as Kenton and I understand it, these will be incorporated into an online library from which you can pick and choose.
We are creating them in MS Word format and presenting them to HQ, with an area at the top which can be personalized with your send-out info.

Whether Staff posts these as PDF, Word, or other types of documents, I’m not sure. The idea is, those members who want to send out or print newsletters can do so easily, with a selection already made up for them.

Obviously, there are more and more reasons for members to become active on the InterNACHI site. This is simply one more benefit to staying on top of what’s going on!

Russell and Kenton,
Thank you for all the hard work you guys are putting into this! The members of InterNACHI are amazing! With all the bashing about who’s association is the best, all one has to do is read this one thread and know which is the best. And this is just one out of many things that put InterNACHI on top!!!

Danny, thanks for those kind words!

Yes, it’s true, NACHI rules . . . by all that it offers. I’ve been a member for about 5 years, and started the Colorado NACHI Chapter, back when there were only a couple dozen of us in the entire state.

Kent was instrumental in the chapter from its beginning (that was before Nick moved out from PA) and has obviously stayed active, when I moved to Idaho 3 years ago and created the chapter here.

There’s no doubt that NACHI - now, InterNACHI -has been a major factor in my success and longevity as a Home Inspector. While I can’t begin to rate on the “helpful” scale with other old-timers like Russel Ray, or new guys like Dominic Maricic, it’s only fair that I pitch in -along with the hundreds of other members who have done so - to contribute to the success of fellow members.

That’s why I encourage everyone to become active in InterNACHI - because everyone has a talent to contribute!

I’d say that the 3 greatest things that have helped me in this business, in chronological order, are:
NACHI
HomeHintseNews
Home Inspector Pro

****So much for the “adda boys” Onofrey got for his “innovative product of the year” considering this will likely hurt his business. But, I guess you guys already knew that and will offer a “choices are good” excuse.

Oh…wait a minute…weren’t some of you guys the ones who gave Onofrey an “adda boy”?

iNACHI members give me loads of business for which I am grateful. I plan to leverage the iNACHI Inventions and Innovations award in many various publications once I get the actual award and can take some photo’s. For that opportunity, I am once again grateful. My experience is that established inspectors are the ones most likely to use my product while new members have a tendency to gravitate towards the free stuff, for a time.

Anyway, this is the link to the iNACHI members deal for Home Hints eNews.

This sounds great! I was actually working on some of this for my own newsletter project.

Only part of my newsletter will be HI related articles, the rest is going to be local specific articles. I have already lined up a ‘columnist’ for a gardening column and will be writing some articles about the local forest service and fire management issues as these are reoccurring issues of interest to all. But it will be nice to have a library of these HI related articles to start with.

Are we allowed to post these on our websites with the rest of our newsletter articles? Also are we allowed to reformat these articles as long as we give proper credit to the original author?

John, you really should do a www.nachi.tv show with us. It’s totally free.

It’s coming John, sorry it takes so long.

I am expecting yours and the US Award today or tomorrow.

Marcel

Been very satisfied with John’s news I am far from Computer literate and John has always been there to give me help as needed…

Well deserved award John…Cookie

( great idea go for it John )
gromicko John, you really should do a www.nachi.tv show with us. It’s totally free.

Brian, congratulations!
That kind of initiative is what it takes to stay ahead in this biz. I’d like to get copies, once you’re up & running- I always like to see innovative member ideas.

As far as the uses of the Newsletter go, that wil be determined by NACHI HQ. Once Kent & I complete each one (or, in this case, the initial 52), they go to Nick. I’m sure he’ll have some words on their use when he posts the library.

Feel free to join the crowd, sending articles in for future Newsletters!

I’ve handed them all over to Kent, and I believe he’s about half way thru the editing, fine-tuning, and inserting InterNACHI “plugs”. Not bad, I’d say, for a project that was started about 5 days ago . . .

NACHI members are great .

I am so please to see so much help for all.

John had what it took to win the award in the first place. I would be very certain he has what it takes to continue his success as an entrepreneur.

One thing should be made perfectly clear-
This project, in no way, will or can replace the type of quality work that John or Robert are doing.

It’s like comparing McGuffey’s Reader to Encyclopedia Brittannica.

Aside from that, I know what I’m good at. Also, I know what others are good at. One thing a businessperson should learn early on, is let the specialists do their work!

That’s why I pay someone else to send out my newsletters- John’s comment is absolutely right - this is primarily for the beginner on a shoestring, who needs the help.

It is also a good one to print up - single, sometimes a double page - for table handouts.

You don’t have to make nothing clear to me. Most of us already know this.

Well, just didn’t want some folks to have too high an expectation.
Also, didn’t want some good guys thinking this is being done to replace their professional services.

Thanks for your article, Frank - much appreciated!

It’s not going to be terribly fancy. Just text for you all to use in your own newsletter. Something like this: http://www.nachi.org/manufacturedhomes2008
