Welcome to our forum, Marty!..Enjoy!
Welcome, Marty!
Thanks for the warm welcome
Why pay for something that you can get for free from InterNACHI. The only gold nugget here is going into the pocket of a school that offers a course similar to the training you can get at InterNACHI. This course has taken information from the level one training. Both courses will not make you a level one certified inspector.
As Martin said. The InterNACHI course is a great introduction to IR. It can help you decide if you want to add Infrared Thermography and proceed with the Level 1 training. IMO, Level 1 training is the bare minimum you need to have if you are going to advertise IR in your inspections.
a mud pot
it look very hot in the infrared camera!!
Apparent patterns of a failed seal for sure. If you can get your hands on some ice cubes during your survey, take one, flat side towards the apparent failed IGU, hold the cube with a paper towel for one minute. Remove cube and wipe off the surface moisture. Look closely, on a slight angle, and you should see the remaining moisture that formed on the inside glass pane. No moisture equals seal has not failed.
A good reminder, Peter. Thanks!
