Has anyone ever heard of condensation between window panes being caused by a humidifier on the heating system?

Hi Joe,

Yes, but only when the seals have failed anyway.

Thanks Gerry.

I had this conversation today that went something to the tune that the seller is informing me that the condensation between the window panes is only visible when the humidifier on the heater is on, there is nothing wrong with the windows, meaning the seals have not failed. Also claiming once the humidifier is turned off the condensation dries up, no more problems.

I called Anderson on this one, on the off chance they could be right. I don't know what the HE** I was thinking but I called anyway. Now I have an absolute the seal has failed if there is condensation between the panes, no and's, if's or but's.

Thank you anyway Gerry, for that smarta$$ answer! ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif)

Joe - Just for simple conversation and no Smart A$$, I never let myself get pulled into conversations anything even close to that with a seller, realestator, or builder, etc. They call and as a courtesy, I will return a call if I think they may have not understood my comments. As soon as it becomes apparent they want to debate my opinion, I politely tell them they need to call the buyer and have this conversation with them because I’m not buying the house and I don’t really care. We could waste each others time and talk all night, but my report will still say “There was condensation between the panes of glass”.

Then I politely hang up and go back to watching TV.
