had 14 users on-line

Inspection news had 3 users on-line

Inspectors Journal had 1 user on-line

an interesting aside to this is that we have had 45 users online at one time, the most I remember seeing on TIJ was 8 and I think 22 on IN.

No wonder that vendors beg us to take advertizing on this board !!

Regards

Gerry

We blew past the others like they were standing still. This message board is only celebrating its second anniversary this August 4th.

Geez guys

179 posts are impressive, but what is 80 plus % of the content?

Are you really comparing apples to apples?

OH WELL / I guess that is why the National Enquirer has such a large customer base opposed to magazines that are committed to providing only factual and informative information

The NACHI chat room icon_cool.gif I think we have more HI info than any other message board even if 80% is chat the other 20% is still a lot more info than is available on the other boards. When I need technical information I use this board. If you ask you shall receive. This board seems to have more experts in the individual trades ie; Electricians,HVAC, PE’s. We could use a master plumber that would post on a regular basis. The chat just makes it a more friendly place. (IMHO)

By the way Dan when are coming down here to learn me some MH stuff?

We have a new member from PA, that is a master plumber by trade, we need to get him on the boards posting.

I would have to agree that if it were all technical talk, people wouldn’t come around as much. Believe it or not, by the personalities given away here through chit-chat you are much better able do determine how credible someone’s technical answers to your questions will be…

Like if you see ![icon_redface.gif](upload://f7DX2EWhmUfsDapWaYT3oJHMCj1.gif) after everyother post on technical threads, you have reason to doubt whether the answers given are correct. You much appreciate the effort but wait for others to chime in with agreement on the diagnosis.

You can also tell someones expertise by the way they stick to one subject. Like electrical...we have many experts here, whereas plumbing and HVAC people shy away from answering because their knowlege is limited.
Anyways, I like the chit chat...it breaks up the monotiny. We are all people and desire non-work related conversation...however silly it may get.
I only have dogs to talk to at home, so you guys are my extended family of sorts Keeps me sane...I think

Todd I don’t know. Gotta ck with alan

If you have a chance, check with other Tucson area inspectors to see how much interest there is for the MH course.

I usually do 1 or 2 a mo in Casa Grande. If you or other established inspectors want to tag on one, send me your # and I’ll give you a call when I get one there.
