Yeah beyond my budget now too, with the business startup I can’t justify diverting too much funding to that despite my coin collection pleading with me and of course for an excellent cause.

My grading opinion from the pictures is about VF35, the point where the wear on the very tips of Liberty’s cornet (crown) starts to flatten about halfway is the indicator to me. Its a great opportunity for anyone interested in collecting or investing or both. Good luck people, and thanks Nick for putting that up for auction, its a very nice double eagle.

If whomever wins this auction wants me to buy it from them, I’ll pay at least the spot price of the metal for it, which is currently at $1,941.00. It’s worth at least that much at any coin store.
