That sweet smell of the price of eggs dropping. Take a big whiff folks!

Oligarchy, private army in the making by a convicted felon POTUS. Wow!

And on that note…

Had they prosecuted Jan. 6th rioters properly the first time and had not abused the judicial system, then perhaps this blanket pardon would have never happened. Had they not persecuted their political foes through prosecution, this would have never happened.

It is nearly impossible to untangle the wrong doings of the DOJ and the FBI.

I call it a hostage exchange and some bad actors may be sent home early. Better that than the judicial abuse of even one American.

But advocates for reform have long complained that plea bargaining is unfairly coercive and can even push people who are innocent to take a deal out of fear of a lengthy prison sentence if they take their chances at trial.

In all fairness, don’t you think that Trump should grant pardons to all convicted felons nationwide who were found guilty in a court of law of assaulting police officers?

Many of whom were pardoned yesterday were found guilty by Trump appointed judges. So this isn’t about politics, it’s about breaking the law, having your day in court, and then if found guilty, serving time for the crime you were found guilty of.

And what about those nationwide criminals who are serving time for lesser crimes? Why shouldn’t they all be pardoned?

Why just a select few?

IMO this was a stupid move on Trumps part and may very well come back to haunt him.

The renaming of The Gulf of Mexico and Denali are nothing more than distractions that no one really cares about.

Nope, I do not think he should have made a blanket pardon. Unless of course the DOJ was politically motivated to prosecute all the people they could identify at the capital and then use their enormous power to plea bargain people into submission to ensure the political opposition is intimidated into silence. Unless of course this corrupt politically motivated DOJ made such a mockery out of the the judicial system that all convictions are are tainted with the obvious blight of no confidence.

At what point do you sift through all of the pleas? Who was coerced? Who was treated as a citizen and not a terrorist?

The DOJ blew it and it has nothing to do with which judges were appointed by whom. These people are of the same species where only money and connections allow someone to survive the system.

And neither President holds the high moral ground on pardons and this will be the new way moving forward. Had the left not weaponized the DOJ, FBI etc. against Trump starting way back with the Russia Collusion Hoax, we may not be here today.

The DOJ didn’t “blow” anything. Not sure where you get this stuff.

The DOJ investigates and charges people they have evidence of who have committed crimes.

The DOJ is NOT the entity who puts people behind bars. The courts are the ones who do that, but only after they are tried and found guilty by a jury of their peers or by a US Judge. Only then are they sentenced to prison.

The DOJ has no say in the decision of whether or not a person goes to prison, or how long of a sentence they serve if they do.

IMO Garand screwed up by waiting so long to investigate all these people, even if it was the largest criminal investigation in US history.

I agree, both Biden and Trump have abused the power of the office of The President when it comes to handing out pardons.

So, even if that were the case, and IMO it isn’t, are you implying that two wrongs now make a right?

Politics has nothing to do with it as far as I’m concerned.

Like I said, it’s nothing more than a distraction.

Look here, not there.

No! The Capitol Police broke their oath to uphold the Constitution and didn’t stand down when American exercised their right to protest government in the proper venue: where government is. Those police officers are the criminals and should be prosecuted.
