Trump promised pardons

Everyone knows that you can’t be attempting to overthrow the most powerful government in the world without the backing of a single branch of the military, and with a grand total of ZERO guns.

They were exercising their first amendment rights, unarmed, in the proper venue: where government is.

Pardon them.

All that were non-violent and peaceful, absolutely.

Capitol police were supposed to stand down. If they broke their oath they took to uphold the constitution and tried to deny protestors their right to exercise their first amendment rights in the proper venue, where government is…, they should be arrested and prosecuted. Especially that nutjob, popo-wannabee who shot an unarmed, female veteran protestor in the back and killed her. He should be prosecuted and given a life sentence at a minimum.

The protestors weren’t burning down private property. They were engaging in a constitutionally-protected act. Round up everyone who tried to deny them their rights and prosecute them.

Though presumably nobody on site knew that at the time, she was armed with a knife (reference Killing of Ashli Babbitt - Wikipedia ). There were plenty of other weapons sighted and nearby. Her status as a veteran would also have been unknown, and also be irrelevant at the moment.

Even at a sanctioned and permitted protest action, following the orders of the authorities is required. That clearly did not happen. Had the Capitol Police opened the doors of the capitol to the protest, it’s possible it would have remained a peaceful but loud action. We will never know.

In the instances where they did open the doors, the protestors became tourists.

Nobody knew because she didn’t brandish it, yet was still shot in the back. Can you imagine if the police did this in Portland?

There are multiple videos of the CPD standing in the doors they opened waving in peaceful citizens, polite fist bumps and thank you’s were spread among the crowd to the officers. Who ordered at what time the main 10k+lbs solid brass doors controlled by electromagnetic lock is a great question.

Happens often. Nobody cares:
