Vapor barrier post rot

I have mentioned this in the past, but DO NOT wrap wood or steel posts with vapor barrier in the crawlspace. The moisture under the vapor barrier will migrate up to the nearest high point. If this turns out to be a wood or metal support post wood rot or rust will occur.

Yes there was a concrete footing.

Thanks Randy! So I will to call barrier wraps around wood post from now on when I come across it. Though, I have yet to come across it so far.
