Venting Bathroom Fan

Hi to All,


Have a Problem venting a bathroom fan, its in a downstairs bathroom with rafters running paralell to wall,cant go thru ceiling to reach outside ! What I can do is go along beams ,down wall, into equipment room and " T " it to 45 degree 5" vent that is hooked up to electric dryer and vented outside Is this too crazy to use same vent exhaust duct for 2 different appliances . Can 2 dryers on share same vent, Thanks in Avance for all answers !

Jay isnt the 25’ only for dryer venting? I didnt think that bathroom exhaust fans fell under the 25 foot rule. Maybe I misunderstood was is being asked.

i think your right. i read his post again and see now that he dryer vent part came i after his initial question. either way sounds like a total over kill if he’s doing all that. and it’s no good. icon_cool.gif

You should never tap into a dryer vent.....Now if the exhaust for the bathroom fan is between floors it will need to be metal flex pipe and will need to vent out itself. So the question is HOW....

Probably would do us all better if you could snap a picture of the location with a camera and post it here.....so we can look at what you are looking at.
