Yea James, that’s what I looked like when I saw it. The agent said he sees them like that all the time. Oh, and the “contractor” (neighbor) that installed it weighed in too. Says it’s good that way.
I know that Rheem and AO Smith both have horizontal direct vent units. Do a google search. I have multiple reports to finish. I would bet that all major manufacturers have similar models.
Bingo! That’s why I have yet to see a side wall termination that didn’t look like something out of the Beverly Hill Billy’s. So far I have always had to call them out.
