Please ask Shannon and Chad to be very specific on the data required to be entered by the home inspector to make their energy model work, as well as the flexibility of the inputs. My experience evaluating these tools is that they either require very little information and have generic (bland) results that are not at all useful OR they require so much detailed information (that may or may not exist, thinking worn out or missing manufacturer’s labels) that it is too costly from a labor stand point to be profitable. There is a sweet spot, I am hoping, and perhaps they have found it.
