Is the well going/gone dry?
I had an issue with a well pump I was checking today. Gauge was inoperable and water cease after 5 minutes of usage....
then no water for about five minutes.....
then pump would kick back on

It sounds like the pressure switch may be the culprit. Without a working guage it would be hard to tell what’s going on. One other possibility is the foot valve ( it’s like a check valve ) located at the botom of the water intake, if it doesn’t hold, water would drain back into the well on the pump off cycle, then the pump would have to pick up prime again to pressurize the line. Is it a deep well, or a shallow well? Submersible pump or external pump?
