Wet Crawl Space

Andrew, that seems like a good method of encapsulation.

Did you install it yourself?

What size rolls does it come in?

Do the over lapped joints get glued together?

How is it attached to the foundation blocks?

How costly is it?

Thanks.

A de-humidifier is a heat source…

An air conditioner is a dehumidifier that discharges the heat outdoors.

Look at the name plate. The amp draw is the amount of heat you will be adding to the space (which will decrease the rh and help dry things out).

Moisture is bad but so is too dry (if you have expansive soil conditions).

Also, you do not need fans unless you have a huge complex designed space.
Fans will speed things up, but too fast is also bad…
Causes dry rot and cracked timbers (outside shrinks while the inside is still swollen.

Conditioning the space is another option, but costly.

Expect a call tomorrow.

After and communicating with Marcel, a complete 20 mil vapor encapsulation appears to be a better choice.

I also believe the following article has some merit to it. >> http://ezinearticles.com/?Cosmetic-Appeal-of-Poured-Concrete-Hides-Serious-Crawl-Space-Health-Hazard&id=2469968

Larry,
Sorry for the late response, long day. Anyway, Yes, I installed it myself (with the assistance of a CleanSpace installer)
From what I recall, it comes in either 12 or 15 ft. width rolls.
The joints are overlapped a min of 6 inches then taped.
You can fir out the walls then staple or glue.
Not cheap!! But call me if you are going to attempt this yourself, I learned a few money saving applications while doing this project.
