I am looking for input on what camera setup to buy for sewer scopes. Ive used Rigid in the past without any issues, just wondering if there is something better out there or something equal in quality but less expensive?
First, I don’t do scopes. The guys that I subcontract scopes to, use Rigid and swear by them.
But, a buddy who does do his own scopes collaborated with a manufacturer to design a camera to meet his demands. Inspector Outlet sells them. Subtech Draincam Inspector Nick Sewer Scope System – Inspector Outlet
@mwilles commented, as a professional plumber, in another thread on this subject…of an adequate sewer scoping camera. It may have to do with how often it gats used, too.
Any sewer camera out there is going to be adequate for a home inspector. If you’re wanting to identify the location of a defect and mark it, than you need to buy something that has a radio emitter. You don’t need 4K resolution for sewer inspections.
