What is this?????????

The WATTS thermal expansion valve was leaking. The plumber looped the leaking valve back on itself, then installed another WATTS valve on the HOT water side of piping. Is this correct???

Thanks! for your input.

It is functional, but that does not look like “Plumber” work to me, looks more like the work of a Level II Thermographer. ;)

a proper washer and a cap would have been a much better fix imo…jim

James, that is what I thought also.

just a leaking stop and waste is all i see Buck…simple fix…imo…jim

James,

That is the $300 fix. Is there is anything wrong with the valve on the HOT side?
