Looking at the bottom foto…it looks like the drop goes to or passed another building…in any case, I am sure that you followed it back to the either the pole or the other building, right?

comes from pole into side of garage/shed

then goes to house. Something was going on here

because the home is now going to be leveled.

ps: there was power in the kitchen but I decided that was
as far as I was going.![](upload://mO0rhUwdEjKEthBdnsfexqXrTeu.jpeg)

But did you check the pole?

If you did and there was no meter there...where you saw it go from the pole to the side of the "garage/shed", what was it like there?

By the way...I would agree that if you did not find one after that you might have wanted to suggest that the Power Company come to determine IF the house had "legal" service and or safe service.

Was there a main disconnect anywhere? Any sub/auxiliary panels?

The power company DID come and determined

that someone had indeed removed the whole meter. I guess

the previous owner is sure in trouble now. Just wanted to share this with

you guys. ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif) ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif) BTW the pole was on a state highway and it is very

unlikely you would even find a meter on a pole in such a location.

That was a good post.

It made me aware of other situations that can
exist during an inspection. Even ones like that!!

I'm new, so have not had the opportunity to see
ALL the possibilities.

I’m just curious, why did they want and inspection if the house is going to be leveled?? Or was that decided due to the inspection…

Blaine,

This was decided due to the inspection. The whole house was completely

trashed. We didn't even realize it because the exterior isn't that bad

except for the roof. Once inside the buyer decided to go ahead and

destroy it and start over. This was a sherrif's sale deal and he only

had to pay about 3000 back taxes. The buyer bid on it unseen. Oh well. ![icon_rolleyes.gif](upload://iqxt7ABYC2TEBomNkCmZARIrQr6.gif) ![icon_rolleyes.gif](upload://iqxt7ABYC2TEBomNkCmZARIrQr6.gif)

Gerry,

We all must be doing something wrong. I didn't even finish the report.

In fact I decided to give back the fee because he was a friend and I felt

real bad about it. Talk about ethics. I really think this will help me

in the long run because he said he will point other people in my direction.

The guy renovates properties so he has the equipment. Win some ..lose

some.

After seeing this the poor guy said "please...lets get the H... outa here,I've seen enough".![](upload://ynVG3cudMLQcvXzQlD1DHLwMdrD.jpeg)
