What are these roof coverings are the ashplat, slate?

How old was the roof? that asbestos stuff nearly lasts forever 
@bcawhern1 the roof was installed in 1934 so it is 89 years old. there are a couple cracked singles and one that has completely ripped off. there is also algae all over the roof

Sounds like with a little maintenance another 80 years is possible.
I suspect metal, maybe even copper.
