Hey guys, I find this periodically on the crawl space soil. Usually, there are signs of moisture intrusion. Is it effloresce or some kind of mold; and is it safe to crawl through?

Most likely it’s lime. Some people use it to control odors and mold.

Mold. Wet dirt/moisture environment. Safe? Who knows. You should be geared up/protected anyway, correct?

Without a proper vapor barrier in place (which might have prevented the conditions in your pic) I would not enter or crawl upon that surface. Not without a hazmat suit. Which is beyond the scope of a general home inspection.

I concur, Joshua. Mold would be my first instinctive thought. I would also suit myself up with PPE before entering the crawlspace.

Almost certainly efflorescence. Where there was (or is) water, probably some mold mixed in. The stuff has never bothered me, but know yourself. If you have some allergies, act and wear appropriate protective gear. Do the same if in doubt. If you have some hyper allergies, disclose a potential hazardous condition due to presence of mold-like substance and don’t get any closer than the photo.

It could be Boric acid as Roy said. I have seen it sprinkled around to kill termites, roaches etc. A lick test would confirm.

I didn’t see anything like that on the Biden Laptop Report, but if you review it yourself you might find something similar.
But, international money laundering sponsored by joe 0biden, crack smoking w/hookers, sex crimes with children… yep all kinds of that stuff on one of Hunters one of THREE computers.
Given the vague pic provided and considering the responses given, I think Borax treatment would be my most probable guess. But nothing could be confirmed without lab testing of the substance in question

Look up info on “Tracking Powder”. It is a powder substance used to kill vermin. They walk through it and it is absorbed into the body. Also enters the body when they “groom”. A strong anti-coagulant, they bleed to death. Yes, it can be absorbed into the human body, thru skin contact, inhalation, eyes. Don’t go crawling through any unknown substance! Take a picture and indicate why you perceive a potential issue safety issue and won’t go crawling through it. Tracking powder is supposed to be a controlled substance available only to professional, licensed pest control people. However, it can be found for purchase by John Q. Public. Not all sellers are ethical.
