The first thought I had when I looked at that is that the straps would need to go over the truss and be nailed all the way down into the wall somewhere below those cripples.
There is also that gap problem…you know…if the strap is more than 1 inch away from the truss, so I’m not sure how that would be resolved since the cripples don’t quite line up with the trusses and you can’t just run them straight down.
Maybe there is a cable tensioning product that could be bolted thru the truss and run down the wall and tightened.
