Hey guys, I posted this in another room but they said I should try here since this home is in Florida. I’ll try to make my question simple.
If the client puts clips at D AND C, would you consider that clips on the form? Or is there any way possible to get clips discount from what you see here? For reference this is the wording for minimal conditions “Attached to the wall top plate of the wall framing.” So would the raised heel with a plate on top still be considered the wall top plate? Lot going on here. Thanks for any help!
Lots of “what if this, what if that”.
I know you’re trying to help your client, but stop trying to design a Wind Mitigation retrofit installation for him, before he spends a boat load of money based on your recommendation, and it turns out incorrect or insufficient due to poor wording or a misunderstanding.
Have the client consult with an actual installer of wind mitigation components for advise:
That is the best advice. Yep!
Thanks for the reply. Well he’s my friend so I don’t mind, but I see your point. If he did get someone to do that and had the work done, I’d still have to go out and inspect it and make a decision though. So really I’m just trying to learn so I know what I would put down in the report. Does that make sense? Thanks!
ha, pretty interesting roof. I haven’t seen anything like that.
