Wood Decay. Please proof this new inspection article.

I’m assuming that the article was written for home inspectors. If so, you should add a heading “Identification of Wood Decay” that tells us homies how to spot it.

Yes, but not to read. SSsssshhhhh. Well, you can read them.

The real purpose of these things are for you to hide them on your website somewhere. You don’t even have to link to your pages that house them. Their main purpose is Search Engine Optimization and they are designed to increase yours.

You know what, you’re right. The section that describes brown and white rot can be used for identification but the best way is to use a probe, such as a screwdriver. Also, it’s important to know how to tell the difference between decay and insect damage. I’ll be updating it soon.

In NC, the SOP states that all wood decay must be confirmed by probing.
