Writting no insulation in Attic

how would you write this attic on your report?

More detail? What’s under the old roof?

Depends on how much insulation is in the attic below…among other things.

Is there an attic below that attic?

Thats the only entrance to the attic. Theres more to the house but its blocked off by a wall. I only have access to 1/4 to the the whole house.

The home has been expanded, and the old roof is under the new roof.

There may be an older access hatch somewhere, since the home had a new structure “placed” upon the original.

Like anything you can’t inspect, spell it out and detail the reasons, possible concerns, etc. etc.

This is the only entrance and the roof runs all the way to the other end of the house.

Can the door be removed for entry?

Was it insulated?

No Insulation

Yes that’s how I was able to get in rough squeeze lol

So, what’s the question, then?

No insulation just roof like the first pic and one of the flue vents was capped didn’t know where it was going.

How would you state this on your report if you can’t see insulation flues etc.

So the access in your picture above is access to the attic space you were in when you made the OP.?.

If there was no access found below the roof in the OP, I would note it in the report and recommend that an access be made to inspect that space.

The cap is either an intentially plugged vent, or a test cap that was left in place.

That makes sense since I couldn’t see any flues or anything I didn’t know if it worked or where it lead to.
