AI is dethroning Google in the sense that it aggregates and returns much better results. Google is trying to catch up with Gemini, I’m not sure how well they will do. If it’s like anything else, the first movers will win and there will be 2nd and 3rd tier options.
My point is that we’re not that far off from “Just Google it” to turn into “Just ask an AI” as a common phrase. I’m not talking about just for serious topics, like what was Ariana Grande wearing at the Oscars, I’m talking about “which RC rock crawler will work best for crawlspaces that I can mount my Insta 360 x5 on” and you get a good answer. The only reason you get anything sorta like that on Google is that Google now just shunts anything beyond a basic shopping search over to Gemini.
I use Grok for most of my AI searches as I get a deeper answer than the fluff that most of our 100IQ public gets out of Chat GPT. You really have to push these other models to get into the WHY of things where Grok will go down the rabbit hole as deep as you like. At this point, Grok knows I have college level physics and math, so I don’t even have to tell it to give me the meat. Chat GPT likes to give you metaphors that the previously mentioned 100 IQ dipshits using it can handle. “Think of a bucket of water, and it’s spilling over the top, as the reason electrons….” BBZZZT stuff your 3rd grade BS….click close.
While Google has a habit of rolling over like a well trained mutt, XAI and a few of the others are still a little more reticent to just dump it all out there. The other thing is there are some privacy AIs that simply won’t turn over your data when law enforcement at any level simply rattles their sabre.
One company does over 50% of all school photos in America and over 25% of school photos globally
It was acquired by investment firm owned by BlackRock and Vanguard
They’re the top shareholders of a company who the CEO was a primary investor of a company who’s been sued multiple times for scrapping facial data to build their AI’s learning database. The illegal use of facial images without consent
“To be fair, maybe this whole connection is a bit of a stretch, but in the end, it really is one big company that runs everything. Using your childhood photos to train a facial recognition deep learning database to eventually establish a global mass surveillance state that is constantly watching your every move from the second you enter this world — That’s who took your school photos”
WTF!
THEY JUST DID IT — CONNECTICUT JUST VOTED TO BAN THE GLOCK
The most owned handgun in America.
The gun carried by more law enforcement officers than any other.
The gun sitting in tens of millions of American homes RIGHT NOW.
They just voted to ban it.
Connecticut’s Judiciary Committee just passed HB 5043 — and it’s headed to a full House vote. Here’s what they’re calling it: a ban on “convertible pistols.”
Here’s what it actually is: a ban on Glocks and nearly every modern striker-fired handgun in America.
The penalty if you sell one after it passes? A Class D felony. Up to 5 years in prison. $5,000 fine.
Their excuse? Illegal “Glock switches” — a cheap piece of plastic that’s ALREADY ILLEGAL.
So their solution to criminals breaking the law… is to punish YOU for owning the most popular handgun in the country.
1,900 people testified AGAINST this bill.
Only 50 supported it.
They passed it anyway.
This is the Democrat playbook.
Pure and simple.
Find a boogeyman.
Blame the gun.
Punish law-abiding citizens. Repeat. Sound familiar?
California did it first. Now Connecticut.
And if you think Virginia is safe — Governor Spanberger has 9 anti-gun bills sitting on her desk RIGHT NOW.
This same playbook is already in motion.
Want to bet Virginia State Senator Surovell — the clown that banned “big pistols with a telescope on it” this session — or State Senator Saddam Salim, the AR-15 ban king, will try to ban Glocks next session?
State by state. Gun by gun. Until they’re all gone.
This isn’t a Connecticut problem.
This is YOUR problem.
