2001 Roof Covering for Florida Wind Mit Report?

I had to ask this question as I’ve been searching and can’t seem to find an answer!

For a 2001 roof covering, which one would it be? A or C? (I’m not in Broward or Dade)

A. All roof coverings listed above meet the FBC with a FBC or Miami-Dade Product Approval listing current at time of installation OR have a roofing permit application date on or after 3/1/02 OR the roof is original and built in 2004 or later.

C. One or more roof coverings do not meet the requirements of Answer A or “B”.

I assume that the roof met the FBC approval at the time of installation but it’s not on or after 3/1/02 OR the roof is original and built in 2004 or later.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated in advance!

Any roof before 2004 you can put C.

It doesn’t matter though, no insurer will write a policy on any roof in Florida with shingles over 20 years old.

C. One or more roof coverings do not meet the requirements of Answer “A” or “B”. Possibly…
D. No roof coverings meet the requirements of Answer “A” or “B”. Probably

Either C or D is acceptable and it won’t matter anyway as it would need to be A for credit. Not to mention, the insurance company is going to request it be replaced any day now…:slight_smile:
