LMAO…Nick is one hell of a guy, one of the best. Hell just ask him.
How is marketing to InterNACHI members “whoring”? Are not members of InterNACHI trade professionals? Traffic to our website is driven by our mailing campaign. We send flyers to individuals who have recently applied to become licensed building contractors, building contractors who are past clients, and home inspectors who have completed the home inspection classes we have been offering for over seven years.
You are incorrectly assuming that we market to “anybody”. I think you are frightened by the possibility that you might be competing with respected experienced home builders who are seeking to diversify during difficult economic times. That is a valid argument. Arguing AAA Construction School is not a valid option for a current member of InterNACHI needing to fulfill new state requirements in order to continue working is not a valid argument.
Mr. Durand do you read your own advertising? Here I will post it againg.
**You don’t need a contractor license or to have conducted any home inspections to grandfather in at this time. ****This is a once in a lifetime **opportunity!
Does it say, Mr. Licensed contractor? No it does not. It says hell all idiots who can pass a course anyone with a 3rd grade education can pass COME See us.
Just in case you are confused. This is marketing to ANYBODY…Deny it all you want. It says what it says in PLAIN ENGLISH…
NICK
I did not spend 100.00 to take a free test I sent in the 120 inspections
so now that I have a license how can FL nachi help me and why should
I spend 100.00 to take a free test
after March the grandfather goes away what will flnachi do then ??
I suspect that after the grandfathering period is over, Florida InterNACHI will drop its proctored exam requirement and permit all InterNACHI members to join. The purpose of making InterNACHI members re-pass Florida InterNACHI’s proctored exam a second time was to fulfill the states grandfathering requirements.
That makes sense and was expected, but taking that one step further… Why bar home inspectors who are already licensed and have no use for a proctored exam now?
Hmmmmmmm, that seems close to what Nick said may happen just worded differently.
Joe, for Florida InterNACHI to qualify as a state association that our members can get grandfathered through, the law requires that Florida InterNACHI have as one of its requirements, the passing of their proctored exam. If Florida InterNACHI let anyone off the hook, it would cease to meet the definition.
Well said Nick and I could not agree with you more. Thanks for all you do for the industry! Your the best!
Not really, but someone said I have never agreed with you on ANYthing…so I just wanted to post that so I could prove them wrong. I missed ya buddy…
Nick
I have a license I have met the requirements.
I just did not do it with FL INTERNACHIs help
so why can’t I join now.
Vernon, I will save you a ton of time. The answer is “Because Nick said so”. Just leave it at that. He will convolute it with a bunch of excuses. Nothing will change, you will still not be able to join without taking their test.
On the other hand Vern, Florida insurance inspectors association which is out of Melbourne is a bunch of guys that ROCK and want to improve the industry. We will be here next year, I do not think Fl NACHI will…
Thank you Russell
I will just sit back and see what happens
A license home inspctor and CMI that has passed the entry exam
can’t join FL Nachi until the red tape has changed to green LOL
VL
OK, now I understand… See ya in March.
