Reliance water heater, serial # F 92226336 It looks to new to be a 1992 thanks in advance.

If you look at the ansi#, its often about 2 years after that. Look to see if this makes sence against the serial # in the future.

Some people just keep their water heaters polished....

The ASNI thing is a good guide, but this would definately be a 1992 unit. Begiining of June, 1992 (22nd week). These serial numbers are the same as State Industry (who I believe makes them for Reliance). The first letter (F in this case) refers to the particular factory it was made in.


I've also seen older heaters "polished up". It's probably all part of the pre-listing tart-up.
