Aircrete insulation

I’ve found a little info on this insulation on the Internet, but not a whole lot. I understand it’s installed as a spray foam when used to add insulation to exterior wall cavities. Does anyone have any experience with this type of insulation-how it’s installed, R value, advantages, disadvantages…? I’m just curious.
I got a call today from someone who wants a thermal imaging scan after their exterior walls are insulated with this aircrete insulation, to ensure no cavities were left uninsulated behind the plaster. 100 year old home.

It is spelled Air Krete.

I am on the section of insulation in my Residential Energy book. I am not an authority on the insulation but when I googled Air Krete insulation I obtained a lot of info on the internet that can hep you.

LOL, I guess that’s right! People are always putting a K in my name. I should have thought to put a K in Air Krete.:slight_smile:

By the way, Air Krete looks like pretty good insulation, but I imagine it’s pricey.
