Another Appliance Bites the Dust

Regardless of how many angles can dance on the head of a pin the climate change is here, will most likely accelerate, probably unstoppable and will alter life on earth for generations to come ultimately causing humans to reduce CO2… earth will recover eventually, maybe, stay chill who cares right?

Resorting to mockery. Nice. No, I do not want to be a member of your doomsday cult. You believe what you want to believe (the politicians) and I will be a proud member the growing chorus that just keeps hammering the facts.

Bob, you once confused nitrogen with nitrous oxide. Would you like me to share that link?

Got something to say say it already, I don’t take no shit.

Bob, regardless of what you’re being fed on RW media, it absolutly is math and science, and you either believe the math and science, that and what you’re seeing in the world around you, or you don’t. It is that simple.

Most of the junk science is from those trying to debunk global warming. Your stadium analogy is proof of that.

I do believe math and science and it is not showing that man made CO2 is causing global warming. Moreover climate models (that can’t predict next week much less ten years from now) that generate this falsehood suffer from the most basic programming problem; garbage in, garbage out. If you think that any of the “Green agenda” actions are doing anything to change global climate you are denying the math and the science.

Post your sources Bob.

You’ve got to have sources that you’re getting your information from that forms your opinion on the issue.

That’s your source? It’s an opinion commentary article in a newspaper. Hardly an accredited source. I gather you have no sources other than second hand news articles.

No that’s not my source, it’s an article about Carbon Dioxide reading for last month, NOT an opinion article.

Carbon dioxide soars to a new record in Earth’s atmosphere as climate change continues unabated (msn.com)

Levels of carbon dioxide in Earth’s atmosphere reached another record high last month, scientists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography announced Monday.

I posted a few sources in an earlier post, but for your convenience here they are again.

Your turn Bob.

Let’s see your sources for your information.

There are plenty of opinions or research that disputes “green house gas effect”. The argument is this, does adding CO2 to the atmosphere cause warming? We do know the earth is warming. We do know that CO2 has increased. Cause and effect is not “settled science” and there is no consensus. I am not weighing in either way at the moment. But all points must be considered and here are some points that are just being dismissed.

Much of what Bob and Brian are saying is here:

There is a great deal of evidence that ozone depletion as well as volcanic activity are much more impactful and the effects of both lasts hundreds of years.

THAT is an opinion piece, it say’s so right at the top of the article.

OPINION>ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT

Post scientific data and facts from reputable scientific sources, not opinion pieces generated by media sources.

It is all an opinion at this point.

So, I posted another.
https://whyclimatechanges.com/impossible/

The author of the opinion piece is not a media source but rather a scientist.

I have been struggling with how a trace gas could be having such a dire effect. Brian’s articles (particularly the second one) essentially make the scientific argument that CO2 warming the planet is physically impossible because of the heat absorption (oscillation) properties of CO2. In other words, the physics do not compute. It is easy to understand how such theories get squashed when there are billions of dollars in annual research grants, decades of research, and storied reputations to be ruined when fundamental assumptions get challenged and potentially debunked. We need real answers soon, as this global warming alarmism politically-driven policies are really hurting the country.

This is also in the WIKI bio of Peter Langdone Ward. It seems he believes in global warming and that it is caused by human activity.

He proposed that the rapid increase in global warming during the 20th century was caused by these mechanisms as a result of the rapid increase in sulfur dioxide emitted by the burning of fossil fuels.

Look under “Ozone Depletion”.
Peter Langdon Ward - Wikipedia

Come on man…show the next sentence maybe?
Since 2009 Ward has been arguing that climate change is caused by ozone depletion and not human-derived CO2 emissions, a hypothesis that is not supported by referred literature.

The only reason why I posted the wikilink was for his credentials. Even at the top of the page of link

Yes, it does. Greenhouse gases warm the earth. Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas. CO2 is increasing. Warming of the earth is proportional to the increase in CO2.

Here’s the whole Paragraph.

Ozone Depletion[edit]

In a 2009 paper,[4] Ward suggested that “large volumes of SO
2 erupted frequently appear to overdrive the oxidizing capacity of the atmosphere resulting in very rapid warming.” In addition, he noted that sulfur dioxide is a strong absorber of visible light. He proposed that the rapid increase in global warming during the 20th century was caused by these mechanisms as a result of the rapid increase in sulfur dioxide emitted by the burning of fossil fuels. Since 2009 Ward has been arguing that climate change is caused by ozone depletion and not human-derived CO2 emissions, a hypothesis that is not supported by referred literature.
