Anyone charging 700 to 1000 dollars per inspection?

That’s very likely.

This is not a “get rich quick” profession. In fact, it isn’t a “get rich” profession. You get paid to share what you know so you better start to learn, Jacob Brown.

I’m not expecting to make decent money for at least 18 months. Decent meaning 40k to 50k. Worst case is I go out of business after spending a few grand getting tools, website, insurances, marketing, etc. That’s fine with me because it’s money I’m willing to spend. This is of course after interNACHI training.

just type in your states termite inspection requirements or say your mold inspection requirements. may be a bit of a pain at first but if you are hungry enough you’ll get it. you got it. just work towards it.

you will screw up. there’s nothing wrong with it. Everyone here has screwed up even if they don’t wanna say it you just got to keep your head in the game and push forward. you don’t need a experienced inspector to show you everything however if you put your nose to the grindstone and learn you’ll get it. do right by people and they will do right by you. seriously don’t let anyone bother you just keep moving forward brother and learn. Its easy to clown someone when they ask a question but how you respond makes all the difference.

Then go work for someone else for three years, then start your own company.
The company you work for will train you, provide insurance, leads, etc…
You may also find, this line of work isn’t all you thought it would be.

Again, I’m not entitled to anything nor am I expecting much success starting out.

No one is entitled to anything, that is a given especially in this business.
If you are not expecting “much success”, then perhaps you may want to rethink this.

When I started my company in 1994, I had no doubt I would be successful. None. The thought of not making “decent” money never occurred to me.

I meant for the first 18ish months. I’d rather go out on my own from the get go.

Do what many new HIs and Agents do…
act like you are a Buyer and click on the (Angi’s, Home Adviser, Yelp…etc.) ads where you will get a list of (not so bright) local HIs that pay $12 - $25+ for (bogus) leads/pay per click from these scammers and ask them what the price is on the imaginary home you are purchasing.

I want to inspect less and make more money.
