I have a question for Roy.
Since he saw fit to register his wife as a CMI, and that requires 1000 inspections or 1000 hours of industry related education, I would like to know how Charlene qualified for this.
Somehow I think this is a bit bogus and unfair to the rest of us who didn’t sign up because we were trying to be ethical.
Slam me all you want, I don’t believe for a minute that it helps the profession to tout her as being a Certified Master Inspector.
I do not have to slam you at all Wendy you do a good job on your self you have appointed your self as the person who know all about every thing .

CHARLOTTE has way more then that, she is at every meeting, seminar and inspection, she can run circles around most inspectors I know including myself. To drag her into this is totally WRONG PERIOD!
CHARLOTTE has helped so many other inspectors with out so much as a peep of complain.

Well Char earned her CMI and if you do inspections a long as she has and attend as many seminars as she has you to will deserve to have your CMI

Charlotte aside, it is a bit interesting that there are some course offerings out there that offer triple CEU’s towards a CMI. Meaning 4 hours of training equals 12 CEU’s towards a CMI designation.
So it would appear that one could theoretically become a CMI with only 334 hours (or less) of training. In my book, it’s like buying as term paper.

I had the chance to be a CMI back when the requirements were lax. I was smart enough to realize that it didn’t matter how good it “may” be for marketing, I still wasn’t qualified to be a CMI.
I have no doubt that Charlotte has more inspections, more meetings, and more of everything under her belt. I’ve been in this less than a year, no matter how many times you state that it was “last year” everything happened with my house and all.
However, that STILL does not make her qualified to be a CMI. I don’t think it makes YOU qualified to be a CMI, it’s just worse that you can pay just under $400 and get her qualified. It’s the money, not the experience or the education.
Nick says that the CMI is all about Education. I don’t think Charlotte has the education. She may go to lots of meetings, but that isn’t CMI qualifying education. That’s CEU education. One hour per chapter meeting.](“http://www.royshomeinspection.com”)

Everybody used to make jokes about me being a CMI before the summer was over or what have you? Well, I was decent enough not to do it, even though I could have. I still think it was the smartest way to go, so no Roy, I’m not jealous. Just don’t want to see the profession dragged down.

I made the mistake of agreeing with another poster .
Wendy has many who like her including me but she has many who can see through her including me .
Those who have been around for a few years have noticed some things not so nice about Wendy .

It rubs me the wrong way to have Roy posting on this thread a couple days ago about Char this and Char that, and you don’t whatever compared to Char…only to find out that no only does he use the inspections they do twice to qualify for her membership as well as his, now he’s gone and used them to qualify her for a CMI. That takes alot of cajones.
Like I said. People can say what they want, years of being in abusive relationships taught me that what they say doesn’t create my reality. I am in charge of my reality.
