I will be recommending a structural enbgineer in this attic. There was a little bowing of the roof and I think I know why now. The buyer was happy I crawled through here as he wants the home, but he will get a structural engineer in to design a better roofing system. House was built in the 60's, thank God we don't get a lot of snow.

Problems like that can be a result of foundation failure as well. Was this a raised foundation by chance?

What is your conclusion?

No it was on a slab. My conclusion is that there needs to be better support in the attic for the roof and I am recommending a strutural engineer further evaluate. This was a brick veneer home built in 1962 and I was amazed that there were no motar cracks or patches in the veneer. I looked very closly and so did the buyer. Then I got into the attic and went OooP’s needs work up here.
