I don’t know how many people are aware of this. But the Baltimore Zoo is in danger of not having enough funds to continue operations. They are currently short $200,000 of a goal of 1 million dollars. If they reach this mark of 1 million, then local business will also match the donation.
This morning I spoke with the lady in charge of corporate donations. If the NACHI Foundation can raise a good amount of money in the next 7 days to make to the zoo, then the Baltimore Zoo will list NACHI as a Corporate Sponsor and advertise their www.findaninspector.com website on programs and other material that goes out to all the people who become regular members of the Zoo.
I think that this would be a good oppurtunity for all inspectors in and around the area to give back to the community. I know that my kids have enjoyed being able to go to the Zoo.
I have not given the Zoo an amount that we would donate. I was waiting to see what we could raise in the next week.
I have created a Paypal account for the Founation is anyone is interested in sending Donation. Please know that all donation are completely tax deductible.
