Basement cinder block fine power efflorescence like

Nothing to see here just some repaired shingles and some flashing to cover the defective flashing.

It’s hard to tell if it was repaired correctly from the pic, but it looks like a recent repair.

Flashing was installed over the shingles. I wasn’t able to see the flashing under. Repair was made 6 months ago. 13% moisture in a ceiling that normally measured about 5%.

Looking at the crown moulding inside corner, it is either poor craftsmanship or settling, as the chimney footing and the wall footings are most likely independent of each other. :thinking:

Many that have one don’t know how to use it! They use DAP!

So true. Case in point, how many newer homes do you see these days with stained wood trim?

Yeah I see this in my area all the time. Almost inevitably on every home in the twin cities, MN if its built before the 40s.
