Best online facsimile service

Gone is the land line, gone is the fax machine. I need to send out some fax documents (legal) does anyone have a service they recommend. Search results are all 10 years old or older, something a little more current would be helpful.

You could try Staples or Office Depot.

Business Center | Print and Marketing Services | Staples®

Self-Service Printing | Office Depot

It’s a scan and send these days Bob. You may have a printer that has the scan function.

Some Grocery stores have Fax Service. My local grocer charges $5 / page.

All an online fax service is a scan of the document and then it comes across as an email with an attachment on the other side.

You could just scan the documents and email them as an attachment, and cut out the faux-fax machine.

Guess inflation is real! Holy crap.

This is what I use at $12 a month. Receive and send faxes.

There are likely cheaper options but this one has worked for a decade and I do not feel like (too lazY) changing.

Now, can we find a fax service that pays you to use them?

This should be a clue for the people requiring the fax… LOL. I just went through this with some paperwork for one of my state agencies that won’t accept emailed docs. Do they not realize a scan/email is the SAME THING?

20+ years ago when I was in the aerospace business, we were’nt allowed to send any proprietary information via email, FAX only because they told us it was more secure.

FF 20+ years one would think they’ve made it more secure to send via email, then again, maybe not. :man_shrugging:

is fax more secure than email - Google Search

I have an HP all-in-one that prints and scans. It came with a phone app that not only lets our print from your cellphone but send faxes as well. You just take a picture of what you want to fax, select pictures to fax, enter the phone number and send. You can even setup a cover page. The App is called HP Smart. I did look at the app store and there is many free apps to send faxes. Just search Fax for Free from your app store and it will bring up many apps you can use to fax from your phone.
