Biden's plan to double the size of the IRS will hurt America in 5 ways:

Nothing will change except more money out of our pockets going to government bloat. This will be the same under this administration as it was with all the others before it.

The acceptance of mediocracy is exactly where they want you. You seem to be happy there so you shall get your just deserves.

I am amazed at how many people think this is a good idea. You all belong on “to catch a cheater” because that will be the only positive outcome.

In the interim, there is no fundamental change to our spending. And we will not tax our way out of it.

Of course it does. At least in this case they will be generating more revenue than they are expending.

Nope. Taking our money isn’t “generating revenue.” You generate revenue by building dishwashers or widgets and selling them. This is lost money, taken away from those who actually generate revenue.

Everyone of these salary workers will be spending their paychecks in the free market, buying the goods and services that we the people are selling in this capitalist society.

Nope. They will be spending OUR money, not theirs. It’s only theirs because they took it from us by force. They didn’t produce a service we willingly bought. That’s the opposite of a free market.

They will be collecting the taxes that are legally owed.

Nope. It’s only legally owed because they wrote regulations that says it is. Serfs (one step above slaves) only paid 15% to their masters. I aspire to be treated as a serf. Anyway, if you write laws that say we owe you money, we don’t owe it, even if the law says we do.

If you want military, police, teachers, representatives, national parks, Medicare, social security, roads, or any other service that the government provides,

I don’t. I don’t want a military that pisses away $9 trillion attacking the wrong two countries after 911. I want them all on defense, only. I don’t want public school teachers. I want full vouchers for every child so that private schools pop up everywhere and compete for those vouchers. Great teachers would be paid way more to attract them so those schools could in-turn attract more students and their vouchers. Way cheaper than what we have now. I don’t want medicare. I sure as hell don’t want Social Security. Give us back all of our contributions with interest please.

They eliminated bin Laden.

Nope. Bin Laden died of kidney failure years before the U.S. claims they killed him and his family (nothing to brag about, BTW). You’re telling me that some Navy ship captain in possession of the body of the most wanted man on earth, decides on his own that there doesn’t need to be a forensic audit, no DNA taken, no professional photography taken, nothing. Just quickly dump him overboard into the ocean. In the words of Biden… 'C’mon man."

Tip of the iceberg. I think we can all agree that everyone needs to pay their fair share, person and business alike. If that takes 87,000 new IRS recruits (about half of which will just be replacing outgoing staff I understand), then it’s a great start.

This is absolutely “Taking our money” in the sense that this money the companies and 1% earned off of us should be coming back in the form of taxation to We The People. I know how investment works and will happily pay the gov a dollar so the government can acquire $10. Taxes are enshrined in the constitution, taxes are law. If anyone believes in the constitution, they believe in fair taxation.

Regarding all the other stuff you mentioned about the military and the bin Laden conspiracy theory (new to me), I don’t know about all of that and would prefer to only comment on the subject of this thread.

Perhaps, and this is just a thought, but if so many people think this is a good idea, perhaps you might question why you think it is a bad idea?

I know why it’s a bad idea which I clearly stated in my posts above.

Odd. I came here to listen and learn about the home inspection community. Not listen to a bunch of angry old guys bitch about the state of America. Which is the same broken record we had when Republicans were in office, and Democrats, etc.

Taxes! We hate 'em! We need 'em!

We have less than screwed, elderly screwed, sick people screwed, and people just getting ahead getting screwed. This crab pot mentality of yours is crap.

Without implementation of bureaucratic oversight we would all be in a different snake oil business.

Where does the money come from to generate safe guards if not from taxes? There are plenty of more efficient ways to operate a nation, and we are trying very few. Instead of looking for a future for our country and fellow citizens boards like this are a magnet for opinionated people like you, however, you have a bully pulpit. Instead of keeping your BS out of it, you taint a valuable resource.

I don’t think you understand much tax law, outside of you worrying about your own pocket. And to your minions moaning about the middle class, they should probably realize they aren’t part of the top 10%, and raising taxes for the ultra rich mitigates the inequity a capital monopoly creates. And by monopoly I refer to the same thing you whine about when talking about Nachi being the last one standing. Same idea guy, but this time with money. Just money.

You can quote Biden all you want, all presidents are idiots of a type, but I’ll take him over a hate mongering racist POS thief who actively steals everything he can get from every American tax payer and human he can lay hands on, just like his father.

And to pre-empt all the know it all shade tree politicians who will respond talk to me about you or your parents on medi-care, medi-caid, your kids on wick and food stamps before you come. I know your type.

Do you need directions to the inspection threads here? A little self discipline will get you there with no delays. Unless you stop and read opinions and spew opinions of your own.

Taxing that money doesn’t “Come back to us.” It leaves us and goes to government. Gone forever. Taxes to a company’s balance sheet are no different than utilities or labor or rent. It’s a cost that increases the cost of the goods sold to us. So taxing a company is taxing us “through” the company. It’s just a dishonest way of taxing consumers. And that money never comes back to us.

In the same post you told how this site shouldn’t have guys spewing their opinions followed immediately by you spewing your opinions. Just an observation. :slightly_smiling_face:

The most audited group.

The job posting for “IRS Criminal Investigation Special Agent” represents exactly what we’ve feared from this increasingly tyrannical federal government. As Andy Ngo reported:

The American IRS has a job posting for prospective special agents where you will need to carry a gun & be willing to kill.

I was really hoping INTERNACHI would be the last place I would see politics!

Why? Politics, especially taxes and interest rates affects all home inspectors’ businesses. We need more platforms that discuss politics. And less that discuss religion.

Anyway, you can’t see this thread unless you go specifically to it, scroll down all the posts, read them, and comment… voluntarily.
