What kind of insulation is this? I don’t know that I’ve ever seen this black fluffy stuff?
The house is a 1970
Appears to be Rockwool.

Looks like rock wool covered with some cellulose.

If I blow up the picture, it looks like cellulose on the bottom with some scattered mineral wool on the top.
Compare the pics.

I agree that you have a mixture of rockwool and cellulose. Rockwool/mineral wool can vary in color from nearly black to light brown.
The lighter color in the pictures looks like cellulose.
